Well... "show ip route x.x.x.x" will tell you "redistributing to xxx". "show ip rip database" will tell you whether it's in the RIB or not. On the next hop router away from you "show ip route rip" will let you know whether it's arriving.
Better yet, enable "debug ip routing" on all of your devices before doing redistribution and you'll see things appear throughout your network if it's working right!
