Subject: AW: [OSL | CCIE_RS] How can you find switching config guide
oncisco.com/univercd

Well I think it's not so straightforward as with the router docu. Below you can
see (my) steps how to get there.

Go to

1. Cisco.com/univercd
2.1. Click on catalyst switches select Catalyst 3550
2.2. Click on catalyst switches select Catalyst 3560

3.1. 3550: Scroll down and select for the: Catalyst 3550 Multilayer Switches,
Rel, 12.2(25)SEE, February 2006
3.2. 3560: Select: Catalyst 3560 Switches, Rel. 12.2(44)SE, January 2008

4.1. 3550: Scroll a bit down and select: Catalyst 3550 Multilayer Switch
Software Configuration Guide, Rel. 12.2(25)SEE or the Catalyst 3550 Multilayer
Switch Command Reference, Rel. 12.2(25)SEE
4.2. 3560: Select: Catalyst 3560 Switch Software Configuration Guide, Rel.
12.2(44)SE or the Catalyst 3560 Switch Command Reference, Rel. 12.2(44)SE

5.1. 3550: As you got a redirect in the last step to the page
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps646/products_installation_and_configuration_guides_list.html
now you can select the correct image for the software config guide: Catalyst
3550 Multilayer Switch Software Configuration Guide, Rel. 12.2(44)SE
Or if you need the command reference, you have to click in the previous step to
Catalyst 3550 Multilayer Switch Command Reference, Rel. 12.2(25)SEE.
Unfortunatel I don't know how to get a newer version of the command reference,
since the redirect mentionet brings you to the specific document of 12.2(25)SEE
but since the Blueprint tells to use 12.2 IP Services for the 3550, the Command
reference for 12.2(25)SEE will do it.

Maybe someone else has a faster way :o)

Regards

Roger

Sorry, I think my question is not clear to you all.

As for any routing problem what i do is

1) Go to the cisco.com/univercd
2) Click on Cisco IOS software then select the release say 12.2
3) Then select  the Cisco IOS Release 12.2 Configuration Guides and Command
References
4)  Select the IOS IP guide and search for the specific problem in that.

Similary if i need any example for switch like dot1x or etherchannel how can i
find it through cisco.com/univercd.

I dont want the direct links, that can be find via search engine.

Thanks

Rahul Agarwal

Click on Configuring IEEE 802.1x Port-Based Authentication

There are a number of examples in there....  What were you specifically looking
for?
