Math? :)

1500 bytes by default. Otherwise, whatever you set the byte count to in a
command line.

In the old days (pre IOS 12.0) you used to have to calculate things based on
the average packet size of the traffic types you were queuing. This was a
royal pain. IOS 12.0 and later, you don't need to do that because that
introduced "borrowing" into the mix (e.g. you have a 1000-byte count queue
cycle, but a 1500 byte packet, you'd just "borrow" 500 bytes from next time.

So your queuing is more averaged now! But otherwise, your calculations are
simply based upon the ratio you want to set up. The simplest way to
accomplish this is to take the percentages the want (e.g. 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%
and 30%) and simply add two 0's to the end. Setting byte counts of 1000,
1500, 2000, 2500 and 3000 will give you that exact ratio.

Keep it simple! :)

hi all,

is there a way to calculate the byte count for each queue in custom queuing?
