Newer hardware routers have internal clocks, so they don't revert to march
1993 on reload. Unless you are specifically setting your clock to an older
date, it shouldn't be an issue.

Progress or excuses, which one are you making?

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] Vol 1 Sect 8 and 9 Authentication

I just finished the Vol 1 Section 9, and after doing RIP and EIGRP
Authentication, and learning that the send-lifetime and accept-lifetime are
required with 12.4, I was wondering if it a good idea to just use the March
1993 clock setting in case you mess something up when doing NTP that might
affect your current clock setting and thus your authentication.

Thanks,

Rich
