Hey Bauke,

remember you are running RIP between the Cats and R5/R8 ...so the purpose of
having it both places is to make sure that no matter what RIP routes come in
from which end, you will influence the metric in a negative way, so that
that particular segment will never be preferred.  Try to picture and imagine
that the RIP updates will come in to both Cat1 and Cat2 on that Port Channel
interface.  I hope that helps you out!
