If I am remembering on this one correctly there are times when it doesn't
work no matter what you do.  I don't think there is anything that you are
doing wrong.

I have been working at this for a while and am totally confused as to what
is happening.  I am still on Vol 3 Lab 3 and am trying to test my
reachability right after redistribution.  Here is the stand part.  For some
reason I can not figure out,  R2 believes the networks behind R5 are
actually reachable via R6 as long as R6 is up.  If I shut down R6's
Multilink interface on R2 then the routes appear as they should.  As soon as
R6 comes back on line R2 deleted the route and changes it back to R6.  Below
is an example of the loopback 1 address.  The same happens for the other
addresses behind the router.  

 

I also tried moving R5's loopback to area 9600 and it still does not change
anything.
