Well Matt .... there can be number of reasons ..

I have used this while running some sort of TCL scripts which send
some commands to router IOS and expect results from these commands
so again if i am sending at 9600 bps (default) and if i am sending at
115200 bps (max) ... this makes a difference in execution time for me
.

Again .. I shd be connected via a terminal server .. and speed is
first changed on router and then on terminal server .
