1) Yes
2) Why would a RIPv1 router receive routes from a RIPv2 router out of the
box?  This sort of thing is typically controlled by the version set to
send/receive on the RIP router.  You don't really need to deal with RIPv1
anymore in the lab, but if you are really curious you should lab that one up
and check it out.  Also check out the "ip rip send..." and "ip rip
receive..." command sets on your routers.
