Just nit picking here... but Joe's answer in the video solutions guide
doesn't quite fit the task entirely based on what I read.

The task says that if the links between Cat1 and Cat4 fail the backup path
should be the highest port on Cat3. Ok, fine... set the cost on that port on
Cat1 and life is good. Next requirement says if that link fails the highest
port on Cat2 should be next in line. Here Joe sets the port priority on Cat2
to make the higher port number preferred. To test he disables *both* links
between Cat1 and Cat3 and the link through Cat2 starts forwarding.

The part I'm nit picking is that nothing in the task says anything about the
second link between Cat1 and Cat3 failing, only the first. Is this an error
in the wording of the task or is there a way to make the order of preference
the following from Cat1's perspective:

Port 22 to Cat3
Port 24 to Cat2
Port 21 to Cat3
Port 23 to Cat2

The way I read the task that is what it is asking.
