Hi All,

I have perhaps a similar issue too...

I have RIP announcing 'Distribute-Information originate' to my firewall.

The default route is: ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dialer 0

I noticed when I take the ADSL connection out, the ATM0 interface goes down
but the DIaler 0 interface is still UP UP !!!

This means that RIP is still announcing the default route to my firewall,
which means my floating static route is not kicking in!

Any advice?

Thanks

Jay

Ps. Is the dialer 0 being UP / UP normal behaviour? Considering the ATM0 int
is down as the ADSL cable is out?!??

Post your configs and debugs and lets go from there.

Do you get a message talking about the fast-idle timer starting? That
means you havent bound your dialer-pools properly.

So tell us what steps you have taken before you sent a panic email
with a million exclamation marks and we can work thorough this,

Cheers,
Matt
