Jason,

My best suggestion is to not spin your wheels when you have problems with
Dynamips. If you run into something that doesn't work when you expect it to
then come back and schedule a rack session and test it on the equipment as
well. Dynamips is great but it has its limitations.

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone has issues with EEM and dynamips. I can get EEM to
run but it seems to stall in the middle (very inconsistent). I have read
that some people have issues and was wondering if anyone can get it to run.

Here is the configuration (just a bunch of stuff)

event manager applet MYAPP

 event syslog occurs 1 pattern "%TRACKING-5-STATE: 1 rtr 1 state Up->Down"

 action 1.0 cli command "enable"

 action 1.1 cli command "configure terminal"

 action 1.6 cli command "line vty 0 4"

 action 1.7 cli command "login local"

 action 20.0 mail server "10.0.0.100" to "[email protected]" from
"[email protected]" subject "Telnet to Router" body "Fix it soon"

 action 20.1 syslog msg "We got ISSUES"
