It seems in the DSG they switched interfaces around? Shouldn't the monitored interface be fa0/1 and where it sends the data for the sniffer be on fa0/0 ? That would seem logical, although the task isn't really clear on where the sniffer is. Although it does clearly state to capture all traffic from BB3. R9 is linked to BB3 by fa0/1. So i would capture on that interface:
ip traffic-export profile IPEXPERT int fa0/0 mac-address 99BB.9999.BB99 int fa0/1 ip traffic-export apply no switchport no ipredirects no cdp enable no shut But i might just be stupid. (ps why do they do the above 4 commands?)
