Hi All,

I know this has been covered probably a million times already, but I'm
reading lots of different versions on RIPv2 behaviour when a route is in
holddown.

>From my testing, I've found that when a route is in holddown, ALL updates
to the route will be ignored until the holddown timer has expired or the
flush timer removes the route.

I've read alot of different versions of this behanviour such as:
 - a better metric will be accepted
 - an equal or better metric will be accepted
 - an equal or better metric will be accepted but only from a different
source
 - etc etc

Using outbound offset lists, I've tried to recreate the above but I've
found ALL updates are ignored.

In what situations will a route in holddown accept updates?

Cheers
James
