Hi Marko,

What I found was that when the distance command is used to modify the AD of
two equal cost paths within the same routing protocol, RIP and EIGRP will
install the route with the best AD into the RIB.

OSPF, however, will install both routes and mark both of them with the AD
of the router that originated the routes.

So while I could modify the AD of routes from a particular OSPF origin to
compete with different routing protocols, I couldn't use the distance
command to prefer one OSPF route against another equal cost OSPF route.

Is this the expected behaviour of OSPF and the distance command?

Cheers
James
