Well, I just got back to the hotel room from the CCIE R&S Lab attempt. What a day. Feeling pretty disappointed, as I don't think I passed, but it is not the end of the world. I only got 7 out of the 10 troubleshooting tickets finished in the two hours, and I know you need 80% on both sections. I just ran out of time; time just got away from me - it is so easy to get stuck on a task and then lose track. I didn't have trouble with the technology at all, I just need to be faster, and I was worried about that going in. In the configuration section, I think I did pretty well. I got nearly all of it finished without having to reference the documentation. A frustrating thing happened about 2 hours into the six hour configuration section - the PC I was using started throwing up a user alert dialog box every few seconds. The proctor had to move me to a different one; I lost about 20 minutes. I got the time back, but I had to pretty much start fresh on the task I was doing. Really disconcerting in the middle of a complex section. I should find out for sure in a couple of days. But all that being said, I wasn't nervous going in, and I actually had fun doing it. Now to order some dinner, and pack up for the flight home tomorrow.
