Point taken Marko....

However reverse ssh to a aux port was fixed in a later version of 12.4.X (maybe "T Train") code about a year ago.. Test this on a 3825 and was quite happy that it actually worked..

Prior to that when you tried to use it, it would bomb.. :-)

Not sure if it would work on the TS models that Proctorlabs has...

That's right. You are free to connect using VPN if you are concerned that your
important lab study configurations and passwords are going to be intercepted
and abused :-).

Also, using SSH for reverse telnet to the console is a but impossibleish And
forcing that ob students would be very counterproductive and would not in any
way reflect real lab experience.

Of course, we recognize the danger of your ProctorLabs being intercepted, but
the risk of that is not very high, nor does it represent a serious risk. For
those who are concerned, we offer the option to use VPN.

Which is a shame for I never use telnet anymore, only SSH...

There are also Putty Links on IPExperts Blog site someplace.
You'll need Putty Connection manager for them to work.

Since Putty is Open Source, you might be able to compile it on OSX.

Also, if you use SecureCRT they have bookmarks you can

Any issue with the IPSec VPN ? You can use the
                Built-in IPSec client ?

                Thanks
