I learned a
nice little tidbit of info in lab today which I thought I'd share with you fine
people!
When you do
a static to ospf redistribution, and set an external route tag on either a
route-map or the redist command, and THEN do a summary-address command, the
external LSA you are left with does NOT inherit the route tag from the
route-map!!
I can understand
why if there are multiple routes and multiple tags, but when there is one route
and only one tag, I'd have thought those folks who write IOS code would put
that sort of check in and carried the tag across.
Nope.
You have to
set it manually on the summary-address command.
