I've used 3845s w/ 1GB of memory just fine for a full BGP table feed (IPv4)
in the past, in the context of a single BGP session and single circuit.  I
wouldn't do much more than that on one of those boxes though...  Tried it
w/ just 0.5GB originally and it crashed :-).
