I've been starting a DocCD Reference for things like EtherType codes, IP protocol number, etc. Rather than try to brute-force memorize these (which I'm awful at), I'm planning on memorizing where to find the DocCD reference instead.
Please find my list below. I do have a couple of questions to make sure I'm thinking straight, and to make sure that my at-home mock labs replicate the actual lab as closely as possible. - are products not related to the lab (like firewalls and old IOS releases) still available on the in-lab DocCD website? - can we open the pdf versions of DocCD documents? This really helps since you can Control-F search them! - if we can access the pdfs, can they be saved to the desktop for later reference, or would we have to keep them open in a web browser throughout the lab? - is the DocCD available for the troubleshooting portion too? Here's what I have so far! Do you have any others like this that you wouldn't normally stumble upon during the lab, but contain critical information to reduce the amount of memorization needed for the lab? * DocCD Reference Links* - IP Protocol Numbers / IP Port Numbers / ICMP Type Codes - Security Firewalls Firewall Appliances Cisco ASA 5500 Series Adaptive Security Appliances Cisco ASA 5580 Adaptive Security Appliance Command Line Configuration Guide, Version 8.1 Reference Addresses, Protocols, and Ports - Ethertype Codes - Cisco IOS and NX-OS Software Cisco IOS Cisco IOS Software Release 12.2 Family Cisco IOS Software Releases 12.2 Mainline Reference Guides Command References Cisco IOS Bridging and IBM Networking Command Reference, Volume 1 of 2, Release 12.2 Appendix Ethernet Type Codes Keller Giacomarro [email protected] _______________________________________________ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job?
