Joe,

They will have everything you need at the lab, (ear plugs, pencils,
colored-pencils, paper, drinks "water,soda-pops etc...) the proctors are
great people, they understand your nerves, they understand that you pay a
lot of money to take the exam, but they will also tell you that they cannot
help answer the questions, but can help you clarify the question so that
you understand it. All in all I never had time to look anything up on the
DocCD there was rarely anything on the exam that I didn't previously cover
or done, in 1 instance I had 1 thing that I was like "what in the hell is
that" . My labs have always been putty, with the ability to click on the
router (image) to launch the telnet session, each telnet session opens an
individual terminal, notepad, ms-calculator, IExplorer are the only
available programs and the screens are at least 23", keyboards are the
standard 101 key MS boards, temperature is always moderate but my hands do
freeze up a little "probable because I'm nerves" every other candidate is
typically very aware of how much noise they are making and generally keep
it to a low volume "courteous" Hope this helps. I've taken the exam twice
both at the same place, both with the same proctor and both times I felt
nerves going in, but felt that Cisco does a create job with the proctoring,
go in there with confidence in knowing that you are only 1 of a few that
actually have the pride to walk into that lab and challenge it. All this
information I've outlined is freely available through Cisco's Produce
CCIEtech power point that they go over during Cisco's 360 Live and Cisco
Live events. I do not have the latest one, but I'm sure I know of people
how do.... wink, wink "anyone".

Good luck,
Joe Sanchez
