The important thing you need to understand is where in your particular topology 
are you modifying /marking and where the transport label is being disposed this 
is typically where you wouls be using the QoS group placeholder, so you'd need 
to set on ingress from a P router then match on egress to a CE router....in an 
MPLS L3 VPN design

There are many models to consider:

Uniform, Pipe, Long Pipe and Short Pipe modes

Id read up doc cd as a starting place then look into INE's SP videos before 
starting on cli on this topic, my 2 cents
