Hello,

I can't find anything on GNS3 forums or here about the issue I'm having, I'm
hoping someone has experienced this. All I'm trying to do is get connectivity
between two routers, connected via a switch trunk. A very basic and typical
config:

R5 -> Switch1 -> Switch2 -> R6

The switches are 3725's running c3725-ipbase-mz.124-25d with just one NM-16ESW
module. In troubleshooting I ran into an bug(?) not being able to ping SVI's on
the "switches" that required removing the second NM-16ESW to resolve. However I
still am unable to ping between the two "switches".

Config is typical:

Switch1:
----
interface FastEthernet1/5
description R5 Fa0/0
switchport access vlan 567
duplex full
speed 100
end

interface FastEthernet1/12
switchport mode trunk
end

sh vlan-switch
567 VLAND active Fa1/5

Sh int trunk
Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned
Fa1/12 1,12,40,100,200,300,567

Switch2:
----
interface FastEthernet1/15
switchport mode trunk
end

interface FastEthernet1/6
description R6 Fa0/0
switchport access vlan 567
duplex full
speed 100
end

sh vlan-switch
567 VLAND active Fa1/6

Sh int trunk
Port Vlans in spanning tree forwarding state and not pruned
Fa1/12 1,12,40,100,200,300,567

I have tried putting the routers int vlan 1 and other vlan's, and every little
combination I can think of, and was hoping someone could help.

Thanks,
-Ryan
