Hi all,
Currently I am comparing my results for Lab 17 in Workbook Vol2 to the DSG (v1900) and stumbled upon something which I interpreted otherwise: The solution to Task 11.2 presesents as the requirement that the (first) priority-queue should never exceed 40% of the physical bandwidth: srr-queue bandwidth shape 40 0 0 0 My understanding is that the per-queue values after the command "srr-queue bandwidth shape" specify inverse ratios of the bandwidth. Values equal to 0 will be ignored (and maybe bandwidth sharing applied). For values n other than 0 the respective queue will get 1/n th of the total link bandwidth. Thus in order to satisfy the requirement of the Task you would have to use srr-queue bandwidth shape 2.5 0 0 0 but unfortunately, this command does not allow for non-integer values. In order to get at least something similar to the intended solution I policed the input to 40 % by using mls qos srr-queue input priority-queue 1 bandwidth 40 Could someone clarify if I get the value specification in the "srr-queue bandwidth shape" command right? This would render the proposed solution at least not entirely correct.
