Here is my .02 ... mind you I have not passed the lab but I feel like I am
becoming an expert in preparing for it...

If you are very well prepared for the lab, take the bootcamp as close to your
lab date as possible. The bootcamp will help to peak your senses. It will seem
like your brain has had neuron shortcuts built for solving lab tasks. You will
be highly motivated and feel like you can take on the world. No CCIE lab task
will be too difficult. This all fades away quickly in the days after the
bootcamp if you are not able to spend the 10-12 hours a day studying to
maintain it.

However, if you are not very well prepared for the lab, the bootcamp will be a
rude awakening for you. You will see that you have been fooling yourself into
thinking the lab will not be that hard. You will see just how hard the lab will
be under the merciless guidance of proctor Marko. In this scenario it can go
both ways. You can take this knowledge and study your tail off to bridge the
gap -- in which case you will want chunk of time between the bootcamp and your
lab attempt. Or, you will leave the bootcamp and not put in the time needed to
increase your skills and knowledge necessary to bridge the gap -- in which case
you might as well take make your attempt as close as possible to the bootcamp
so you don't loose that "peak".

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_RS] IPExpert Boot Camp

My company has purchased the One-Week Lab Experience boot camp for me to
attempt, and its that time that I need to schedule it. How close to the date of
the scheduled Exam do most people recommend attending the Lab Experience boot
camp? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
