Hi everyone,

Sorry this question is not study related but I am hoping someone here has
come across this as I have not and its really confused.

Have a few 6500's dotted around the company connected via L2 trunks with
SVI transit vlans forming the OSPF adjacencies.

When I do a show mac address-table on some of the 6500's I am getting the
following.

Legend: * - primary entry
age - seconds since last seen
        n/a - not available
        S - secure entry
        R - router's gateway mac address entry
D - Duplicate mac address entry

Displaying entries from active supervisor:

this does not happen on all the vlans and also they dont all exist on the
same core. The above ports are adjacent switches also connected via OSPF.
If the entry was static I would not worry so much but its dynamic and with
multiple entries. Am I looking at a bug or some kind of Loop if so why not
all the vlans or at least the ones specific to the same sections of the
network as the ones i am getting this output on.

Seriously been bugging me. Hope someone can put my mind at ease and point
out something silly that I am missing here.

Regards,
Scott
