Hi Mark, If the voice payload is 160 bytes; g.729 call; Voice Bandwidth (without Layer 2 Overhead), 24kbps [compress header ip rtp] Voice Bandwidth ( Layer 2 Overhead) 28 kbps, So layer-3 bandwidth if compressed g.729 calls, 24 kbps, if not compress then bandwidth is 28 kbps. Could you please correct me if I am wrong in the above calculation? Mark could you please explain normally we are using 160 or 240 byte payload and also sampling rate 20 ms or 30 ms.
