The two debug outputs show two different scenario one stripping the 9 and the other sending the 9.
I had a route pattern with 9.011! pointing to a route list containing BR1 gateway configured as MGCP. The first test was route list not stripping the 9 as shown in the debug isdn q931 output. In this instance I was getting the announcement "number cannot be dialled". The 2nd test was still using the same route pattern but this time in the route list stripping the 9 using predot. In this instance the error was network out of order which means to me a PSTN failure. Any ideas to shed some light would be welcome. The PSTN Router ever expect the DNIS without the 9. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] on behalf of Abdalla Abdalla Sent: Mon 4/28/2008 11:18 AM To: CCIE Voice StudyList Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Pod 23: HQ/BR1 PSTN Issues Hi, I was having PSTN issues yesterday during my proctor lab session. I could not get any PSTN calls outbound to the test PSTN phone from either HQ or BR1 site. This has worked in the past. I had configured BR1 as an MGCP gateway so that I could debug this issue and setup a route pattern on CCM stripping the 9 and without the 9. However both cases the call failed. The gateway was registered in CCM. The error messages I was getting were (when not discarding predot): P23-BR1-RTR# Apr 27 20:18:52.750: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: TX -> SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x0004 Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2 Standard = CCITT Transfer Capability = Speech Transfer Mode = Circuit Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s Channel ID i = 0xA98383 Exclusive, Channel 3 Calling Party Number i = 0x0081, '2122231003' Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown Called Party Number i = 0x80, '90119876543' Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown *Apr 27 20:18:52.778: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- CALL_PROC pd = 8 callref = 0x8004 Channel ID i = 0xA98383 Exclusive, Channel 3 P23-BR1-RTR# *Apr 27 20:18:52.782: ISDN Se0/0/0:23 Q931: RX <- DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x8004 Cause i = 0x8281 - Unallocated/unassigned number This meant that the PSTN was not expecting a 9.
