couple things jump out
1. do you have any dial-peers configured? No dial-peers no registration
2. allow-coonectionc are they configured
allow-connection sip -sip
h323 to sip etc

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] V2 lab 1 - ipipgw issue
I have a weird issue regarding ipipgw. I configure it as h323 gateway, but it
registers to gatekeeper as voip-gw. Then when there is a call from HQ to BR2,
gatekeeper complains that there is no ipipgw and the call fails.
I know once the ipipgw registers to gatekeeper as h323-gw, the call will pass
through. I succeeded once, after several hours' issuing shut/no shut
gatekeeper, no gateway/gateway, and trying other things. Then all of sudden it
registered as h323-gw, I tried to figure out the reason by changing back what I
had modified, however ipipgw registered alway as h323-gw, could't find out the
reason.
So my question are:
1. how to force ipipgw registers to gatekeeper as h323-gw/
2. Why it registers as voip-gw even though the configuration is for h323
3. What's the difference between h323-gw and voip-gw
Just wondering whether some has the same issue?
