Precedence has shown, they could upgrade a minor release for bug fixes, however, they would not test on any newly supported features. If they were to upgrade to version 8.X, they would have to announce it 6 months in advance. This will be unlikely in the foreseeable future because they have not yet exhausted the software in this version.
Currently the ³Ask the Expert CCIE VOICE² is running on NetPro until February 12, 2010, and you may get more detailed clarification if you post your question there.
