One of the first things Vik discusses on Video #1 from Volume 1 is this 
specific VMWare-related problem.  I think he sums it up in a couple of seconds 
by saying 'There isn't a whole lot we can do, so what we are going to do is 
turn off CDP on that port.'   I think that sums it up pretty good. :)
