Hey Earl,
You could start with something like this:
voice translation-rule 4000 rule 1 reject /^80055545..$/ rule 2
/^800555\(4...\)$/ /\1/
Hope that helps!-Marty

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Voice Translation-Rule Question

Came across this one real-world example and was trying to
figure out the best way to do it. Say I have a block of DIDs that I want to
summarize
into a single voice translation-rule. How do I exclude only one digit while
allowing all the others? For example, I want to allow 800-555-4000 through
4499 and 800-555-4600 through 4999, which is the entire 8005554XXX without the
4500-4599 set. I was thinking along the lines of 54[^5]XX, but in IOS that
doesn’t work. I even tried escape the ‘^’ so that it is not
perceived to be the beginning of a string.

Thoughts?
