Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MVA on a H323 GW

Hi Shrini,

Thank you for responding. I do have the voice translation-rule on the H323
GW. When I call the DID # from PSTN, I can reach the phone. Also, when I
dial 6178631100, I break it down to 4 digits, match the 1100 pots dial-peer
invoke the MVA application and send it to the CallManager for the IVR
treatment.

Regd the suggestion, try adding the incoming called number command under the
1100 pots dial-peer, I haven't tried that.
Unfortunately, this was during a lab I had scheduled yesterday and the
session is over now and I will try it again next time,

Thanks
K

Did you put any voice translation rule for incoming number under voice port
(this means you are sending only 4 digits of called number ) Try changing
Partial match and 4 dgits in service param. Also you need to check CSS in
RDP of this device (not rerouting CSS).

In the MVD DID try adding incoming called-number .

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MVA on a H323 GW

Hi guys,

I am trying to configure MVA on a H323 GW, when I dial the MVA number from
the PSTN mobile number, it prompts me for the pin, accepts the pin and gives
the option to enter a number to dial, after I input the number ( even a 4
digit extension say 5002) , it gives me the message "Your call cannot be
completed as dialed , please check .........".

Here are my configs,

1)On service parameter - MVA is set to true, MVA number is set to 1100,
caller-id set to partial-match of 10 digits ( my remote destination number
is +16178632683) and I am getting caller-id of 6178632683.

2) MVA GW is BR1 which is configured as a H323 GW.
Inbound Significant digits for BR1 is set to "All"
Inbound CSS for BR1 GW is css-us-ld which contains pt-internal, pt-us-local,
pt-us-ld.
MVA number is 1100 in the pt-internal.

3) Phone # is 1002 that is set up with RDP - BR1Phone which has css =
css-us-ld and rerouting css also set to css-us-ld. owner-id set on the phone
device and RDP to BR1phone2.

4) BR1 GW has the application and service command copied from the cucm help.
BR1 GW also has the pots dial-peer for destination-pattern pointing to this
service.
BR1 GW has the voip dial-peer pointing to the subscriber only. This gateway
has the callmanager group which is subscriber only.
BR1 GW also has the pots dial-peer to dial 7 and 11 digit numbers ( matching
what comes the route pattern on the cucm)

Am I missing anything in the configuration?

I tried doing a debug voip dialpeer, I see the call hitting the 1100 pots
dial-peer invoking the MVA and 1000 voip dial-peer going to the cucm. After
that I don't get any information on the debugs.

I also tried the debug call application vxml, I see the IVR doing the
placecall.do to the number I input but get an error message, transfer failed
to a null destination number...

Thanks
Kalyan
