Not normally, no. However, there is one lab scenario in the Vol 2 IPExpert workbook that has all 3 sites running as CME. Normally your HQ and BR1 sites are either MGCP or H323 gateways and BR1 will be used for SRST. BR2 is usually a CME site, but sometimes may be another UCM branch.

However, the 3725 is limited in how far in the 12.4T release train it can go. I believe 12.4.15T is the latest. Meaning, it can't run CME 7.0.1. There may be a few other things that are different between 12.4.15T and what the lab tests on, which is 12.4.20T. I would say you should be able to get 99% of what you need out of CME 4.1, which I believe is the version of CME which comes with 12.4.15T. I would just make sure that you use that router for BR1 which normally will only be doing SRST and not full-blown CME. Save the 2811 for BR2 where you will be doing much more work with your CME 7.0.1 features. HTH... Earl Hough CCIE #16508 (R&S/Security/Voice) From: Abel ... Just make sure you know how to configure the same using channelized interfaces and channel-groups. As far as the choice to use a 1760V vs. 3725 or 3640 for a PSTN-WAN emulator, the 1760V has some limitations in how many different ports can be full PRIs. I would recommend saving yourself the grief and using a 3725 for the emulator. Of course, you will need the appropriate NM-HDV module and DSP resources in those NMs in order to be able to terminate all of your PRIs. If you are going for the 100% home lab approach, then to make your layout match what is in the IPExpert lab workbooks work, you need 2 phones at HQ and BR1, 4 phones at BR2 and 1 for the PSTN phone. If you are using ProctorLab remote rentals, then it would be a combination of local and remote phones. That is where you are seeing only 1 phone per site and BR2 with 2 phones.
