Check here for Visual Voicemail requirements

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cupa/visual_voicemail/7.1/english/release/vivoReleaseNote71.html#wp42133

You will need CUC 7.1 and CUCM 7.1 or later for Visual VM 7.1, and there are
no releases earlier than that.

Also this part in the Install docs says to me that it is likely that it will
be on the exam.
"When you install the Engineering Special (ES) for Cisco Unity Connection,
the voicemail web service is also installed. You must configure the
voicemail web service in Cisco Unity Connection. "
