I bought the Multi-phone IPBlue which allows me to simulate almost any hard phone with any MAC for UCM or UCME.
Otherwise, the 45s would work fine until you get to labs that require a lot of line appearances (when you need to do multiple lines, BLFs, Single-button-login for UCCX, etc) Good luck!
