Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] AAR and Redirecting IEs to play correct CUC
usergreeting
Hi All,
I am working on Vol 2 Lab4 and specifically the AAR requirement for a calling
arriving from the PSTN to BR1 phone 1002 when there is WAN congestion.
We are asked to redirect the all to voicemail and you should hear the
appropriate subscriber greeting
I am confident that my AAR config is correct –
So the PSTN phone dials 16178631002
Locations CAC prevents call from going across WAN
AAR-Group is set on gateway along with AAR CSS that can see it’s own specific
\+.! Route pattern (PT_AAR)
AAR-Group is set on BR1 phone 1002 & I have configured an AAR mask to use the
CUC e164 number +12123945600
BR1’s Gateway- re-routes the call back out to the PSTN and I see the call
coming inbound via HQ gateway but I cannot seem to get any Re-directing IE so I
only reach the front end opening greeting of CUC
I have Re-directing IE outbound set on BR1 GW and Re-directing IE inbound set
on the HQ gateway.
All my Serial interfaces (including my PSTN simulating router) have “isdn
outgoing display-IE “ set
I have managed to configure a work around
by configuring a 1002 specific VM profile with the mask set to 1002.
I have configured a RP with extension 5007. This has CFA to VM that uses this
1002 specific VM Profile
I have then set the AAR mask on my BR1 Phone 1002 to use +12123945007 & the
call completes and the standard forwarding rule in CUC does the rest & routes
me to the subscribers greeting.
This is messy & even though I have achieved the objective I wouldn’t want to be
marked down for not using best practice.
Has anyone else experienced this before or know of something obvious I have
missed?
kind regards
Stuart Geoghegan
