This seems like a dumb question... If the hq rtr has a subinterface with "native" in it don't we have to have to have a native statement on the switch port with the trunk to hq?
for example.. hq interface fa 0/0.101 encapsulation dot1q 101 native ip address 10.10.100.1 255.255.255.0 and the switch. interface fa 1/0/1 description Trunk to HQ RTR switchport mode trunk switchport encapsulation dot1q speed 100 duplex full Cheers, Randall
