Please forward this message to those who do not have CCP4BB access. -------------------------------------------------------------------- We have vacancies for two postdoctoral scientists at the Molecular Medicine Laboratory, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. X-ray crystallographers and NMR spectroscopists with strong molecular biology and/or cell culture experience are strongly encouraged to apply. The lab is a multidisciplinary environment housed in the Harvard Institutes of Medicine building next to the NRB on Louis Pasteur Avenue in the Longwood Medical area (LMA) of Boston, MA home to many world class NMR and X-ray structural biology laboratories. The X-ray facility currently comprises a Rigaku rotating anode X-ray generator, an R-Axis IV imaging plate detector system, a Molecular Structure Corporation X- Stream low temperature device and networked Silicon Graphics and Linux workstations. Our wet lab is fully equipped for bacterial, yeast and baculovirus protein expression and purification. NMR experiments are routinely carried out in collaboration with laboratories in the area, Bruker-Biospin located in Billerica, a short drive from the laboratory and the NIH NMR facilities. Plans are in place for the purchase of an NMR dedicated to the Molecular Medicine Laboratory and it is hoped to have the equipment operational in the next year. For more information about the lab see: http://research.caregroup.org/research/ResearchPIInfo.ASP?
