Hi Charles,

in version 5, there was a script available (by Peter Briggs, if I remember correctly) that just downloaded and applied the necessary bug fixes and changes to update to a new version. Is this available for version 6 as well, or do I have to download the whole package again? If an update script is not available, could you please put an (automated) update mechanism on the wish list for CCP4?

Best regards,

Dirk.

CCP4 are pleased to announce the release of CCP4
version 6.0.1. With respect to CCP4 6.0, this release
contains a number of bug fixes (including an update of
the refmac monomer dictionary), but no major change
in functionality. In addition, CCP4mg has been updated
to version 0.12.1 and Coot to version 0.1.1.
Note that we expect to update the CCP4mg and Coot
packages further after 6.0.1 as new versions become
available.

6.0.1 is available from the CCP4 Downloads pages
http://www.ccp4.ac.uk/download.php

CCP4 6.0.1 includes support for mac intel and increased
support for gfortran compilation (4.0.2+).

As usual this release would not have been possible without
all the program authors and contributors.

Regards
The CCP4 team
