RESEARCH ASSOCIATE AND RESEARCH ASSISTANT POSITIONS IN STRUCTURAL CELL BIOLOGY AT THE MRC LABORATORY OF MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, CAMBRIDGE

There are openings for a postdoctoral research associate and a research assistant for up to three years in the first instance in Murray Stewart's Structural Cell Biology Group at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge. Recent work from this group includes Science, 302:1405, Nature, 432:872, Nature, 435:693 and EMBO J. 24:3681. Further information is available at http://www2.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/SS/Stewart_M/group. The successful applicant will undertake research projects that will focus primarily on the structure of macromolecular complexes involved in nuclear trafficking and mitotic spindle assembly and will require the integration of structural, cellular, molecular and
biochemical methods.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent experience, a high-level publication record, and should have some experience in the expression and characterization of proteins and complexes or in structural biology, preferably crystallography.
Experience in Cell Biology would be an advantage.
