Postdoctoral position: Crystallography & biophysics of platelet receptors
An AHA-funded postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated individual with expertise in crystallography and biophysics. The project is focused on the structure and function of platelet receptors, with particular interest in the interaction between glycoprotein VI (GPVI) and various ligands. The ideal applicant would have experience with cloning and protein purification, protein crystallography, and biophysical techniques such as surface plasmon resonance, isothermal titration calorimetry, or analytical ultracentrifugation. Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential. The Herr laboratory (http://homepages.uc.edu/~herrab/ <http://homepages.uc.edu/~herrab/> ) is well equipped for x-ray crystallography, analytical ultracentrifugation, dynamic light scattering, and isothermal titration calorimetry, with access to additional biophysical instrumentation.
