Indeed thanks to the work of the CCP4 folks, the standard
installation of CCP4 on Mac OSX is really a matter of a few clicks.
Maybe the more tricky is to get the file first ... you can try to
click on the following link :
ftp://ftp.ccp4.ac.uk/ccp4/6.0.2/binaries/ccp4-6.0.2-osx-i386.dmg.gz
You should then get either one of the follwing (hard to predict which
one you'll get as it depends on your personal settings):
* a file called : ccp4-6.0.2-osx-i386.dmg.gz
* a file called : ccp4-6.0.2-osx-i386.dmg
* a mounted volume called (visible in the Finder) : ccp4-6.0.2-osx-i386
If you get the first one (finishing by .dmg.gz), double-click it to
get the second one (finishing in .dmg).
Then double-click the ...dmg file to get the mounted volume (icon is
like a white round edged box).
This volume (again, called 'ccp4-6.0.2-osx-i386') contains two items/
icon/file, double click the one called 'ccp4-6.0.2.i386.mpkg' and
follow the instruction that are then printed on screen...

to try to find around you someone who is a bit more used to MacOS,
give him this info and have him explain you what is unclear...
