Acta D has for some reason a rather poor impact rating, and J. Appl. Cryst. a rather better one.

There is no outlier rejection in the calculations for journal citation reports (eg: impact factors).

Congratulations to: Spek AL, "Single-crystal structure validation with the program PLATON", J. Appl. Cryst 2003, 36, 7. This one paper collected 985 citations in 2005, over half of the 1768 citations for the journal in that year. It is too old to be counted in the next round, and Acta D is likely to improve again following the creation of Acta F in 2005.
