Vaheh,

No, unfortunately, that will not work. None of the announced 120Hz
stereo-capable LCDs are yet available on the market*. For example:

http://www.product-reviews.net/2008/08/26/viewsonic-120hz-vx2265wm-lcd-p
rototype-revealed/

Although stereo 3D-capable DLP displays are on the market, they require
construction of a special pixel-interlaced image which is not yet
supported by the nVidia drivers*, and which, regardless, may not be
suitable for "thin line" molecular graphics such as electron density
(due to pixel sampling artifacts).

If anyone out there is aware of an affordable (<$3,000) LCD or DLP-based
display capable of actually supporting industry-standard page-flip
stereo 3D -- the only approach which provides the FULL display
resolution to EACH eye -- please speak up! The industry desperately
needs such a display.

As of yet, however, there is no affordable LCD or DLP solution which can
match the performace of a ~$300 used CRT*. If you are able to spend
25-50X more resources per stereo display, then there is the
http://www.nuvision3d.com/theDSD190.html and other CRT alternatives.

By the way, there is a page dedicated to Stereo 3D displays on the PyMOL
Wiki (and which could use some more contributors)...

Cheers,
Warren

contradicted sometime soon!
