Anouncement of a protein crystallography course on the practical and
theoretical aspects of datacollection and dataprocessing at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Oulu, Oulu, Finland, April 20-24, 2009.

The following topics will be addressed:

Protein crystallographic teaching (Manfred Weiss, Rik Wierenga)
Dataprocessing by XDS (Wolfgang Kabsch, Petri Kursula)
Dataprocessing by MOSFLM (Andrew Leslie, Kristian Koski, Antti
Haapalainen, Rajaram Venkatesan)
Datacollection strategy by BEST and remote datacollection (Sasha Popov)

A remote datacollection session at the ESRF will be included in the course program. The course is aimed at PhD-students and postdocs working on
protein crystallographic projects. It is highly encouraged to bring along
own datasets for processing during the course. There will be time allocated
for individual tutor-student interactions to process these datasets.

The registration of the course has now opened. Please contact Tuomo
Glumoff ( tuomo.glum...@oulu.fi ) or Rik Wierenga ( rik.wiere...@oulu.fi ) for
