POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER
(STRUCTURE-BASED DRUG COMPOUND DISCOVERY FOR MOTOR NEURON DISEASE)

You will join the Molecular Biophysics Group
(www.biophysics.liv.ac.uk) to work on a project supported by the
Motor Neuron Disease Association (MNDA), a patient-based medical
charity. The programme is a study of compound discovery using a
fragment-based approach for therapeutic purposes for SOD1 associated
MND cases. Studies examining the effects of new compounds or
fragments and their ability to alter SOD levels in cell culture will
also be performed.
You should have a PhD in a relevant area and have experience in
medicinal chemistry and/or in X-ray protein crystallography. The post
is available for 3 years.
