Dear All,

there are two positions available in SAXS methods development at the
biological SAXS group (EMBL, Hamburg Outstation).

1. A PhD position in the frame of a Marie Curie Initial Training Network
IDPbyNMR. The topic of the thesis work will be the joint use of SAXS and
NMR as well as related methods in the study of intrinsically
unfolded proteins. The IDNbyNMR network includes leading European
institutions in the field of intrinsically unfolded proteins, which
became an extremely imporntant and challenging object to study by
structural methods.

The interested candidates should register for the
EMBL Predoctoral program (2010 Fall Selection) at

http://www.embl.de/training/eipp/application/index.html

following the rules of the EMBL PhD program
and indicating in the application that they are interested
in joining the biological SAXS group in Hamburg.
Please make sure you register by latest 1 July 2010.

2. A postdoctoral position in the frame of an interdisciplinary
postdoctoral EMBL program (EIPOD).
The project aims at developing bioinformatic tools
for a comprehensive validation of the low resolution SAXS models.
The work envisages a synergistic use of structural,
biochemical and bioinformatics methods, providing an
excellent opportunity for a biologist, physicist or mathematician
to develop complementary skills. The full description of the project
can be found at

http://www.embl.de/training/postdocs/eipod/app2010/index.html

The deadline for the on-line application is August, 31, 2010

The message is sent to several listservers,
and we apologize if some of you will receive it more than once.

With best regards D.Svergun
