Strangely enough, Nature may be the only journal that fully enables reviewers 
of protein crystallography to do the proper job - reviewer access is provided 
to unreleased coordinates AND diffraction data upon request! (no this is not 
April1 joke). There are reasons to suspect that the request is not made very 
often but that is more a shame on the reviewers than the willingness of the 
journal at this point in time. 

Of course, it is a confusing situation when you only see density for a part of 
a ligand and it comes up all the time.
