A Postdoctoral (or senior postdoc) Research Associate position in Protein X-ray crystallography is available in the Song laboratory at Baylor College of Medicine, which is one of the top medical schools in the US (* http://www.bcm.edu/about*/). The successful candidate is expected to have a strong track record of publications in protein crystallography (with >3 first-authored pubs including PDB entries). Abilities to INDEPENDENTLY grow crystals, collect diffraction data and determine/refine protein structures are essential. Experience in cocrystallization/soaking with small molecule ligands/inhibitors is a plus. The main duties are to clone, express and purify biologically important proteins, grow crystals and obtain x-ray crystal structures with our novel small molecule inhibitors for drug discovery. This position may be eligible for promotion to a Research Scientist (staff) or Instructor (research faculty) upon successful completion of initial terms. Find research interests at the PI's website: *http://www.bcm.edu/pharmacology/?pmid=9186*
If interested, please email C.V. including publications and a list of one's PDB entries (selected if >10) as well as names/contact information of three references to Dr. Yongcheng Song: songyc2...@gmail.com
