A post-doctoral position is immediately available for highly motivated,
hard-working candidates to join Dr. Jikui Song’s group in the Department of
Biochemistry at University of California, Riverside. Dr. Song’s research
group employs collaborative and multidisciplinary approaches to investigate
mechanistic basis of cancer epigenetics, in particular chromatin
modifications that are essential for gene regulation and cell development.
The project will involve structural and dynamic characterization of
macromolecular complexes involved in epigenetic programming, using combined
biochemical approaches, including X-ray crystallography, Cryo-electron
microscopy, Single-molecule FRET and NMR spectroscopy. Applicants should
hold a recent PhD degree and have significant experience in molecular
cloning, protein production and protein biochemistry. Additional background
in X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy or enzymatic assay is considered
a plus but not essential. Interested applicants should send curriculum
vitae and contact information of 2-3 references to Jikui Song, Ph.D.
